The paper introduces a general overview of the role of both engineering and industrial designers within product development and their different perspectives on the product that is to be developed. A strategy for achieving efficient and effective cooperation between engineering and industrial designers based on the theory and methodology of Hubka & Eder is then outlined.

V příspěvku je nejprve představen obecný přehled o roli kontruktérů a designérů při vývoji produktů a jejich rozdílných úhlech pohledu na vyvíjený produkt, a je nastíněna strategie pro dosažení úičnné a efektivní spolupráce mezi těmito dvěma profesemi. Strategie je koncipována na principech teorie a metodologie autorů Hubka & Eder.
