Optimized multiple induction heating of ferromagnetic cylinder of finite length
Original language description
The paper deals with the problem of multiple induction heating from the viewpoints of both theory and prac-tical realization. Processing of this partially simplified coupled electromagnetic-thermal problem starts from formulation of its non-linear mathematical model and suggestion of a suitable algorithm for its solution. Particular computations are carried out by professional FEM-based program OPERA (electromagnetic field) and a one-purpose user program NESTAC (non-stationary thermal fields) developedby the author. The theoretical analysis is supplemented by an illustrative example - finding the optimum regime of induction heating of a ferromagnetic charge on a prescribed temperature on the condition of its sufficiently uniform distribution.
