Original language description
The paper is aimed at the computer determination of the self- and mutual inductances of cylindrical coils of non-negligible cross-section with non-linear ferromagnetic core in which the eddy currents are negligible. The methodology contains formulation of a continuous mathematical model of the problem as well as an algorithm of its solution that may be realised by suitable professional programs used for modelling of the electromagnetic fields. One practical application of this algorithm is then demon-strated on computation of the self-inductance of the coil of a non-linear ferromagnetic actuator.
