    This paper, deals with thermal aging of a transformer insulation system and changing of its parameters. Power transformers have insulation systems consist of two main parts. The first is a solid part based on cellulose and the second is insulation liquid. Degradation factors especially high temperature has negative influence on electrical and non-electric parameters of these parts. The local thermal degradation is caused by partial discharges too. Therefore measurement of insulation system parameters and partial discharges help to find faults and improve reliability and working life of the machine.
