Influence of thermal radiation on heat transfer in electrical equipment
Original language description
Important aspects of heat transfer in electrical equipment are investigated. Based on fundamental relations the heat transfer is calculated on simple (isothermal) arrangements such as cylindrical conductor, vertical plate, andhorizontal foil. It is demonstrated the calculation purposes, the termal network method andthe similarity theory are used, and the theoretical results are vertified by measurement. In the coclusion, the heat tranfer in technical equipment such as bus-bar is invetigated. It is confirmed, that taking into consideration the radiation part, the maximal permissible current of equipment and, in the same manner, ist current-carrying capacity significanty increase. These results can also be generalized on similar electrical equipment.
