Partial Discharge According to IEC 60270 vs. Real Broadband Digital Measurement
Original language description
Partial discharge (PD) diagnostics is integral part of complete diagnosis of the most of electrical appliances. PD pattern is measured especially on high voltage and high power machines and appliances used for production and distribution of the electrical energy. Other electrical machines are measured if necessary. Main goal of the presented paper is to describe the conventional and well known measurement of PD and its interpretation in electrical diagnostics versus results obtained on wider frequency range. These measurements are taking place due to the novel fully digital measurement devices. The results have to be newly considered and interpreted based on observed different patterns and other parameters. Main interest of the presented paper is PD measurement on the paper-oil insulation of the high voltage transformer. Different paper-oil systems are being measured. New ?environmentally friendly insulating fluids are here tested. Insulated bars of the stator of rotary machines are te
