Original language description
This paper deals with an analysis and comparison of flow control methods employed in high power pumping systems from the point of energy efficiency in the field of thermal power and/or heating plants. By specific, flow control realized by variable speeddrive with frequency converter, variable speed drive with hydrodynamic coupling, throttling, bypass and on-off control were evaluated on the case of boiler feed pump and cooling water circulating pump.
