    Tracing the movement of charged particles in an electromagnetic field

  • Original language description

    The software is used for simulation of the movement of charged particles in an external electromagnetic field. It can be used for designing complex devices such as a magnetic lenses, the electron gun or particle separators. The trajectory of moving particles is generally described by a set of strongly nonlinear ordinary differential equations which are solved using one of the numerical adaptive methods. The code defines a number of forces that can act on a particle such as gravity, friction, or other user defined force. Other features include reflections from the solid parts of the modeled device or secondary electron emission on impact.
