Original language description
As a vital part of specialized electro-optic transmission system a broadband external modulating unit was designed and developed. The unit is based on an integrated intensity modulator of Mach-Zehnder type. Paper deals with design of auxiliary circuitryof the modulator and its implementation in order to achieve desired functionality. Solution of a broadband driver, original - manually adjustable bias controller and a power supply of the unit is presented here. Integration of all the circuits together makes the final hardware compact and unique as well.
