Engineering and also power engineering faces in the 21st century many threats. One threat is declining interest in engineering studies. This may be due to the relatively low social recognition of the engineering profession. Declining of interest in engineering studies may be due to the relatively low social recognition of the engineering profession. The cause of this situation may also be and unchanged conservative way of teaching in the new environment, in particular information society. Popularity ofengineering education is declining in many developed countries. This paper deals with the new innovative engineering curricula that should respond to nowadays situation and could attract more students. It combines engineering and humanities and cooperation with industry. The aim is revive study in engineering as a comprehensive scientific area and to give students knowledge for the future.
