    Influence of the method of evaluation of infrared spectra on results of spectral analysis

  • Original language description

    Analysis of infrared spectra (IR) can serve to the identification of material properties, changes during aging or quantitative analysis of compounds in composite materials. For the proper quantification, the decision about the technique of measurement and method of evaluation must be performed. Peak intensity or area is possible to use for this purposes. Both methods have their advantage and disadvantages. From this reason paper is focused on the example of ifferent methods of spectral evaluation based on the analysis of aging process of mineral oil. The spectral band (height and peak area) of lowtemperature inhibitor (3650 cm-1) was evaluated by means of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).
