The article is devoted to the influence of the shape of segments (cylinder, rectangle and trapezoid) in the cold crucible on the amount of power losses generated in it. The multi-physics software ANSYS was used to create the different numerical models. Due to numerical simulations the most efficient segment shape can be determined.
