Original language description
In this paper, the calculation of the back electromotive force (emf) is presented. The back-emf waveform is evaluated by own analytical and numerical calculations based on the air-gap flux density distribution described in previous papers. These calculations are improved for the surface-mounted PMSM model by the usage of simple magnetic equivalent circuit. The results of both methods are compared with values obtained by finite element analysis. Two different models of the PMSM are used; 4-pole PMSM1 with fractional-slot concentrated winding placed in 6 semiclosed slots and 10- pole PMSM2 with distributed winding placed in 60 open slots.
