    Influence of the machine winding and PM configuration on the back-EMF waveform of PMSM

  • Original language description

    Presented paper describes a calculation of backemf waveform by the usage of analytical model of real air gap flux density distribution. The model is created for the example of surface mounted PM rotor. Because of the fast calculation of the back-emf, the wide range of winding configurations and permanent magnet widths can be analyzed. Based on this global analysis, the dependency of total harmonic distortion of the back-emf on different parameters can be evaluated. The calculations are validated on two models of fractional slot machines and the proper combination of magnet width and winding configuration is searched for.
