Original language description
The paper compares the variants of the traction substation TSS (especially to modular variants with the module of electronic railway active balancer - RAB combination with the phase-shifting device - PSD). The PSD allows to TSSs cooperation with the ability to control the TSSs output current by modification of the output voltage vector. This modification is realised by a special single-phase shifting transformer – PST or by a special phase-shifting device - PSD with a semiconductor converter. The topology with electronic balancer and phase shifting device is called as an Advanced Railway Balancer (ARB). This ARB is a promising topology of TSSs with the possibility of application for wide-field reconstruction of the traction grid in the Czech Republic (Central and Eastern Europe, with respect to technical specifications).
