This presentation, based on research experience in the project "Critical political sociology of (in)security professionals", funded by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic, dealt with the problems produced by associating with unorthodox theoretical approaches and methodologies in the field of Czech political science, security studies and international relations, specific practices of stigmatization and marginalization of theoretical perspectives, concepts, authors and research techniques deemed to bealien to the fields by certain disciplinary authorities, though more than well-established in the respective disciplinary fields abroad.
