FDA organized two follow-up all-day workshops led by an Israeli PhD theorist and curator. Yael Eylat van-Essen for PhD and MA students. Her areas of research are digital culture theory, curatorial theory, interrelationships between art, science and technology, and speculative design. It focuses on the cultural implications of the use of new technologies, especially in the field of art and design. In the first workshop Mapping as a creative tool for artistic research, they addressed the research method of mapping for artists and designers as a resource for creative activities. Participants combined field research experiences and knowledge data to create an action plan for generating new art/design. The second workshop Mapping Artistic/Design Research Methodologies focused on various artistic research methods and case study analysis using both traditional and technological methodologies that lead to creative processes. The results of both workshops were presented together at the end of the event
