    The current municipal practice can be characterised by significant heterogeneity of the notion of the town marketing. Different ways of operation and different organisation models of the town marketing exist next to one another. The introduction of marketing into the field of the administration and development of a town is not always simple, as the experience from the Czech and Slovak Republic shows.
