Factors for Startup Success: Insights from Recent Research

  • Original language description

Startups are increasingly studied as essential drivers of innovation and economicgrowth, yet their success remains highly uncertain, with most failing within thefirst years of operation. To better understand the determinants of startup performance, this paper employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) focused onstudies published in the last ten years and indexed in the Web of Science database. The review concentrates on research addressing startup success factors, entrepreneurship, innovation, and related management issues. The review synthesizes findings on commonly cited success factors, such as founders’ skills, access to financing, market dynamics, and innovation ecosystems, while alsonoting variations across industries and regions. By consolidating and comparinginsights from recent research, the study aims to provide a clearer understandingof the factors most frequently associated with startup success and to informboth future scholarly work and practical decision-making.
