Mathematical model of the male bladder
Original language description
The paper presents a simplified mathematical model of the interaction between the urine flow and the male bladder with the part urethra in the prostate. Urine is assumed to be a newtonian fluid. The flow is considered as non-stationary, laminar and isothermic. The wall of the bladder and urethra featured the elastic properties undertakes large displacements and strains. When the bladder and urethra are fully extended (micturation) the bladder has a shape of a ball and urethra attains the shape of an axisymetric tube. An iterative method based on the uncoupled approach and FEM space discretization is developed.
