On modeling process of expression of the fluid saturated medium in screw compression machine
Original language description
The paper deals with modeling the process of oil expression and filtration in rotating screw pressing machine. In this pilot study we consider linearized behavior of the compressed two-phase medium described by the Biot model of the poroelastic fluid-saturated material. The aim of the modeling reported here is to understand influences of various model parameters on the pressure and strain distributions during short stroke compression in the expression machine, which is featured by a small angle of the rotor rotation. In particular the boundary conditions and the model structure is discussed, also the friction phenomenon and accounted for. The model is implemented using the finite element method code SfePy. Numerical illustrations of the computer simulation are given.
