High-frequency vibrations of complex flexible rotating systems
Original language description
The paper presents the methodology for the modelling and vibration analysis of complex rotating systems. The approach is suitable mainly for high-frequency vibration analysis because it considers a general flexible stator and compliant gear wheels. It isthe main difference comparing another published approaches in rotor dynamics which usually work with the assumption of gear wheel rigidity and rigid stator. The whole system can be divided into subsystems that represent particular structural parts suchas housing, shafts and gear wheels. The stator subsystem can be modelled by means of standard finite elements and rotor subsystems by means of special shaft and solid finite elements derived in the rotating coordinate system. The coupling matrices between these subsystems representing gear mesh and bearings are developed. The main advantage of the proposed method is easy and efficient reduction of the model using the division into the subsystems.
