    Curvature continuous Hermite interpolation scheme with rational PH curves

    Recently, Šír et al. in [1] proved that all algebraic epi- and hypocycloids are rational curves with rational offsets, i.e., they belong to the class of rational PH curves. Following this result, it can be also proved that the convolution of any two rational epi- and hypocycloids is a rational PH curve. In this paper, we use this result to formulate an algorithm for curvature continuous Hermite interpolation with convolutions of rational epi- and hypocycloids. The proposed algorithm is demonstrated on several examples.
