Original language description
Our work deals with mathematical modelling of electromagnetic waves in dielectric nanostructures. The aim is to simulate numerically optical properties of specific configurations involving nanoparticles coated by other materials. For this purpose classical method of the topology optimization is employed, whereby the merit of particle "invisibility" is approached using extinction efficiency minimization. Problems of optimal topology are treated by the SIMP method (Solid Isotropic Material with Penalization). Sensitivity analysis of cost functionals with respect to the design variables is developed and implemented numerically along with algorithm for optimal topology based on the method of moving asymptotes. Finally several numerical simulations are presented.
