Finite element model of the operative treatment of pelvic ring fracture
Original language description
The finite element model of the pelvic is created in order to compare the stability of several methods of fixing the pelvic ring fractures. Pelvic fractures are classified into several groups according to their location. One type of the pelvic fracturesis an unstable transforaminal sacral fracture (61-C1.3 according AO classification, type II in Pohlemann classification). There are several methods of fixing this type of fracture. One of them is the use of an iliosacral screw. The aim of this study is to compare different methods of fixing the pelvic ring fractures and their influence on stress distribution in the tissue.
