Comparison of methods of pelvic ring fracture fixation using finite element model
Original language description
The aim of this study is to compare different methods of pelvic ring fracture fixation using finite element model of the pelvis with an unstable transforaminal sacral fracture (61-C1.3 according to AO classification, type II in Pohlemann classification). Two methods of pelvic ring fractures fixation are compared - the first one uses iliosacral screws and the second one a transiliac internal fixator. Their influence on the stress distribution in the tissue and the displacements occurring in the fractureunder load is discussed.
