Proposal for new Categories of Ancillary Services in a Transmission System with a massive number of Renewable Energy Sources
Original language description
This paper presents new methodology for power reserves dimensioning. Presented methodology was developed to respect the two new phenomena faced by TSO. First phenomenon is large amount of photovoltaic panels and second phenomena is new design of ancillary services (AnS) products. The purpose of the new methodology is to incorporate dynamic behaviour of AnS. There are several possible approaches to this issue discussed. One approach is chosen and realistic example of power reserve dimensioning is given. In order to be able to provide realistic example, the methodology is designed to respect particular market design (in our case we were inspired by the Czech Republic model). However, presented methodology is general and flexible enough to be used elsewhere.
