LPMS Evaluation Toolset implements tools for the analysis and evaluation of LPMS (Loose Part Monitoring System) events. The tool-set concept was chosen with respect to currently used technologies and practices. The function libraries are prepared using Matlab and the user interface is programmed in LabView. The pilot implementation of the tool-set offers specific loose part event evaluation functions and displays evaluation results. LPMS experts shall use this tool-set to analyze loose part events of different power plants to help them determining detailed information about the event. Although the primary focus for this tool set is analysis of potential loose part events, consideration is given to other possible uses. Since loose part impacts are transient events, analysis of other data sets where transients occur may benefit from the tool set such as check valve testing.
