Original language description
The contribution deals with modelling of nonlinear flexural vibration and fretting wear of the fuel rods (FR) in the hexagonal type nuclear fuel assembly. The FR vibration, caused by the fuel assembly support plates motion in the reactor core, can exhibit impulse contact forces between FR components and possible loss of contact between the FR cladding and some of spacer grid cells. The work of friction forces in the contact surfaces is used for a prediction of the FR cladding abrasion.
