Investigation of Mechanical Properties of Cork/Rubber Composite
Original language description
Cork/rubber composites are often used to damp vibration before it is radiated as noise and before it is transmitted to other system components. This work was focused on the investigation of mechanical properties of the ACM87 (AMORIM cork/rubber composite) when subjected to large strain. Experimental samples were tested under tension, compression, and shear loading. The aim of the work was to get material data that are necessary for the identification of parameters of a large strain viscoelastic constitutive model, such as e.g. the Bergstrom-Boyce model.
