A parallel implementation of implicit discontinuous Galerkin finite element method for fluid flow problems
Original language description
The discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method has become very popular in recent years. Many papers have showen advantages of the DG method, for example, its stability and high order spatial accuracy. A disadvantage of the DG method is high computational demands. The aim of this work is to overcome this drawback using the parallelization of the algorithm. The computation is performed on the network of computers with distributed memory using the remote invocation method technology included in JAVA programing language. The efficiency of the parallelization is demonstrated on several test examples.
