Double lookup table method for fast light propagation calculations
Original language description
A method of rapid and robust calculation of radially symmetric functions is presented. It is based on observation that f(x,y,z) = f'(rho,z), where rho=(x^2+y^2)^{1/2}. The method stores values of f' and rho in look-up tables. It can be used, e.g, for fast computer generated hologram calculation. It is suitable for CPU, GPU or hardware implementation.
