Validation of a fluid-structure interaction code based on the discontinuous Galerkin method
Original language description
The target of this contribution is to introduce and validate the fluid-structure interaction (FSI) code developed for the purpose of the flutter analysis in a blade cascade. The algorithm is based on the discretization of the mathematical model of the Navier-Stokes equations by the discontinuous Galerkin method. The results produced by the FSI code were benchmarked against published results on the three following test cases - a steady flow around the static NACA0012 aerofoil, an unsteady flow around the NACA0012 aerofoil with prescribed kinematic motion and finally an unsteady flow around the NACA64A010 aerofoil with fluid-structure interaction, where the pressure coefficient distribution, the lift coefficient and the flatter boundary was determined, respectively.
