Biomechanics in Clinical Practice
Original language description
The scope of the work is focused on problems related to total knee joint replacements and osteosynthesis of pelvic ring fractures and fractures of lower extremities. The concrete clinical problems are solved using experimental and mathematical modelling. Models of total knee joint replacement are focused on structural interactions involving synovial fluid and their effect on patellofemoral and femorotibial coupling. The models of ostheosynthesis focus mainly on proximal femoral fractures, periprosthetic fractures and pelvic ring fractures while an efficiency and an applicability of various types of fixation techniques is assessed.
