    Influence of static unbalance on rotors with various journal bearing types

  • Original language description

    This conference contribution analyses rotor-bearing system behaviour excited by applied static unbalance and studies the response changes for various journal bearing types. The continuation method and other methods typical for dynamical systems investigation, such as bifurcation diagrams, Poincaré sections and others, are employed for detailed analyses. This study reveals the effect of bearing design on the system behaviour for similar design parameters and operating conditions.
