Original language description

Materials seem to be composed of small elementary "unit cells", the so called "mosaic blocks" which are preserved even at heavy plastic deformation. Division of a crystal into these "cells" introduces a three-dimensional framework imperfections in its ideal crystalline structure. And such an imperfection allows to explain some properties of materials and effects that cannot be otherwise understood.
