Simplified models of a circuit breaker – FLUENT
Original language description
The paper deals with basic possibilities of modelling of a circuit breaker with use of commercial software FLUENT. The basic ways in which a circuit breaker can be modelled, especially addition of necessary equations of electric arc to standard FLUENT equations, are described in the first chapter of the paper. The second chapter presents a model of a low voltage DC contactor that is actually prepared and solved in our department. The model is still under development.
