Forced vibrations can lead to a damage of the blading. To reduce the vibrational amplitudes, Doosan Škoda Power has developed the integral blade LSB 48'' with two friction contacts (tie boss and shroud). In this contribution, the method of nonlinear multi-harmonic vibrations and friction interface elements are used for the estimation of friction damping in the case of torsional excitation of the bladed disk.
