The article brings a short overview of simulation education as one of didactic methods. It describes the process and principals of it when teaching nursing skills. Simulation can be use in low or high fidelity equipment. With the low fidelity most of thenursing teachers are aware. High fidelity simulation means to use and run the simulation with audio video electronic technique, operate with computer to simulate and change parameters of vital signs according what interventions students are providing. This method is effective for teaching students of nursing and midwifery but it is also very useful for life long education of healthcare workers for improvement the quality of care not only in the area of psychomotor skills but also in the area of very important communication skills, team work and managing crisis situations.
