Universal Human Rights and Social Compact in Christian Wolff

  • Original language description

The article discusses the question of universal human rights in the natural law theory of Christian Wolff. It deals with the question whether they were still valid even after the conclusion of the social compact. It proves that they were valid because they were derived fromt he permissive natural law, Wolff just replaced an enumeration of rights by the pricniple that that which is not prohibited is permitted.
