Original language description
A congenital goiter with a 3- fold increased weight of the thyroidea and comparison with a weight of normal gland was observed in lamb from ewe that was loaded with 4.2 mmol of glucosinolates and 4 g of sodium nitrates and wasnt supplemented with iodineand selenium. In this case histological study reveals increased height of thyroid opithelium (12.4 mikrom) and significantly low levels of iodine (44.6-56.2 mikrog/l), T4 (45.6-36.7 nmol/l), T3 (2.13-2.66 nmol/l) in blood plasma from 1 to 48 hours afte rbirth.
