From January to July 2002 fecal samples of Hereford beef cattle and their hybrids were monitored for Cryptosporidium andersoni. The prevalence of c.andersoni in calves ranged from 11.1 to 92.9% depending on age. The mean prevalence in their mothers was found to be 43.8%. Histopathological changes in the site of cryptosporidial infection in abomasum had a non-inflammatory character. U telat byla prevalence C.andersoni v závislosti na věku od 11.1 do 92,9%. U krav činila průměrná prevalence C.andersoni 43.8%. Histopatologické změny ve slezu měly nezánětlivý charakter.
