Impacts of nitrogen fertilization on yield structure of table potatoes and economy of their production was monitoring in three potato cultivars with different growing season - Marabel (very early - early, Germany), Karin (early, Czech Republic), Rosella(semi early, Germany). Field experiments were established in the Czech Republic in 1998 - 2000 on two sites with different altitude: České Budějovice (CB) 380 m, Vyklantice (VY) 620 m (localized 100 km to the northeast from České Budějovice). In total, five variants of fertilization were used - two control variants without N application, 60 kg.ha-1, 120 kg.ha-1 and 100 + 20 kg.ha-1 (as split nitrogen application). The results of field experiments may be concluded as follows:1.It may be confirmed that with respect to cultivar possibilities, nitrogen fertilization affects positively the yield of ware potato tubers.2.Increasing rate of applied nitrogen reduces the tuber size fraction below 35 mm.3.Lower rates of applied nitrogen (50 - 60 k
