Influence of feeding different forms of selenium at haematological parameters in sheep and lambs

  • Original language description

A total of 15 ewes and 18 newborn lambs were chosen for the experiment. The average age of the ewes was 16 month. The experimental groups were supplemented with 22 mg of selenium (Se) per ewe and day. The E1 group was supplemented with inorganic (Na2SeO3) and E2 group with organic Se (Chlorella as a carrier) and the control group was not supplemented with Se. During experiment were measured number of leukocytes and erythrocytes, packed cell volume and haemoglobin. The elimination of supplementation during 282 days in group C was founded as insufficient to evoke lower levels of analyzed parameters in ewes. During the experiment were not founded statistical significant differences in blood parameters in ewes between supplementation with inorganic and organic Se. In lambs were all the parameters in range of physiological norm. Between groups were not founded statistically significant differences in haematological parameters, but was occurred the worst reproductive status in control group.

Vliv zkrmování rozdílných forem selenu na parametry krve u ovcí s jehňat

  • Czech description

Do pokusu bylo zařazeno 15 ovcí a 18 jehňat plemene ovce Šumavská. V průběhu pokusy byly stanovovány následující ukazatele: počty leukocytů a erytrocytů, hematokrit a koncentrace hemoglobinu v krvi. Mezi skupinami nebyly zjištěny statisticky významné rozdíly u stanovovaných parametrů krve.
