Oxidative and osmotic heamolysis of erythrocytes in sheep with different Selenium supplementation

  • Original language description

The aim was to verify the effect of Se-supplementation of inorganic (natrium selenite) and organic (Chlorella as a carrier) form in sheep and their offspring on the oxidative and osmotic fragility of erythrocytes. The intake of Se was in control group C(n=5) only from basic diet. In experimental groups E1 (n=5) inorganic form and E2 (n=5) organic form the Se supplementation was 0,22 mg Se per peace and day. The experiment took 280 days. The mean percentage of oxidative erythrocyte haemolysis in ewes during the experiment were: group C 1,7+/-0,5-2,6+/-0,6, group E1 1,6+/-0,2-3,0+/-1,1, group E2 2,0+/-0,4-2,7+/-0,4, of osmotic haemolysis group C 23,5+/-1,1-24,5+/-1,1, group E1 21,9+/-1,0-24,0+/-2,4, group E2 22,0+/-0,2-26,8+/-2,3. There were no significant differences. The oxidative and osmotic haemolysis in lambs of all groups occur significant fall between first and 10th day after birth and the values remained significant low up to 70th day of life. As to the results in erythrocyte re

Oxidativní a peroxidová hemolýza erytrocytů u ovcí suplementovaných rozdílnou formou selenu
