The dairy husbandry forms an important part of LFA farming in the Czech Republic. The sustainable pasture management requires a productive herd with good health parameters and the choice of convenient breed adapted to local pasture conditions. In this study we surveyed the pertinence of these breeds to pasture or confinement feeding conditions using the data of frequency and character of the health disruptions from 2005 to 2008 on three mountain farms. The results revealed higher incidence of health disorders in confined herd than in two pastured herds. The impact of grazing on milk performance of cows was surveyed in the two pastured herds. In grazing period the cows expressed higher milk, fat and protein yields in comparison with winter confinement period. Seasonal grazing thus positively influenced both health status and milk performance on surveyed mountain farms.

Zdraví a mléčná užitkovost pasených a ustájených stád dojeného skotu v jižních Čechách

Czech description

Chov dojeného skotu představuje důležitou součást hospodaření v LFA oblastech České republiky. Pastevní hospodaření vyžaduje produkční stádo dobré zdravotní kondice a volbu správného plemene adaptovaného na místní podmínky. V této práce jsme sledovali odolnost těchto dvou plemen vůči pastevním a stájovým podmínkám. Byly využity záznamy o výskytu a charakteru zdravotních problémů dojnic mezi lety 2005 a 2008 ve třech horských podnicích. Větší četnost výskytu zdravotních problémů byla zjištěna u trvale ustájeného stáda než u dvou chovů aplikujících sezónní pastvu. U těchto dvou chovů byl sledován také vliv pastvy na mléčnou užitkovost dojnic. Během pastvy byla zjištěna vyšší individuální dojivost a produkce tuku a bílkovin než v období zimního ustájení.Sezónní pastva se tedy u sledovaných podniků projevila lepším zdravotním stavem a mléčnou užitkovostí dojnic.
