Vladimír Boublík and his Theology: An Introductory Study
Result description
The introductory study brings the dramatic life of Vladimír Boublík afore in its very first part. The second part presents Boublík's theology in six theses considered as the most innovative from his theological work. The first thesis presents the concept of predestination, which surpassed the Augustinian conception. Second thesis suggests dialectic of the salvation history which is a consequence of his new concept of predestination. The third thesis uses the concept of sinfulness to find a path between the Thomists and the Scotists when it comes to solution of the famous problem of "utrum si homo non peccasset nihilominus Deus incarnatus fuisset" (S.Th. III, q 1, a 3). The fourth thesis presents and explain Boublik's original theology of religions. The fifth thesis oppose against the Rahner's theory of an "anonymous Christian". Contrary to Rahner, Boublík offers his own alternative theory of an "anonymous Catechumen". Finally, the sixth thesis presents relations between the Christian and non-Christian religions as mutually substitutive.

III, q 1, a 3).
