Trait-Stait Anxiety in Top Athletic Competition

  • Original language description

Spielberger´s trait-state anxiety theory suggest that individuals high in trait anxiety have a grater tendency to percieve ego-involving situations as threatening, and hence, they expected to respond to this situation with elevated state-anxiety. This hypothesis was confirmed on the bases of 2x2 ANOVA with repeated measures on one factor. Statistical analysis revealed significant person-situation interaction.
