Original language description
Five new species of the Afrotropical helotrephid genus Esakiella CHINA, 1932 are described from Madagascar: Esakiella gereckei sp.n., E. goldschmidti sp.n., E. starmuehlneri sp.n., E. acuminata sp.n., and E. madli sp.n. Esakiella eremita (HORVÁTH, 1899)and E. milloti POISSON, 1951 are redescribed based on tapes or topotypical specimens. Esakiella eremita f. didyi POISSON, 1951 are redescribed and raised to species level; a lectotype is designated. An identification key to Madagascan Helotrephidae is provided. Some ecological parameters of the habitats of several species are noted for the first time.

Je popsáno pět nových druhů afrotropického rodu Esakiella China, 1932 z Madagaskaru: Esakiella gereckei sp.n., E. goldschmidti sp.n., E. starmuehlneri sp. n., E. acuminata sp.n. a E. madli sp. n. Esakiella eremita (Horváth, 1910) a E. milloti Poisson, 1951 jsou znovu posány na základě topotypických jedinců. Esakiella eremita f. didyi Poisson, 1951 je znovu popsána a povýšena na druhovou úroveň; lektotypus je designován. Nově je prezentován určovací klíč madagaskarských Helotrephidae. Poprvé jsou zaznamenány některé ekologické charakteristiky habitatů vybraných druhů.
