We welcome the readers of the “Live Strong - with Chronic Disease or Disability” monograph, which brings new insights into the important issues of prediction and development of the active lifestyle of people with diseases or disabilities based on current basic and applied research. The authors also emphasize the holistic approach to active and healthy living in different age and social groups of the disabled population. For this reason, not only the biological and behavioral basis of human life, but also the social and spiritual basis of human health are analyzed. The monograph therefore includes three concise sections - theoretical background, research applications, and applications for practice, including practical tips and recommendations. The monograph chapters may be useful for specialists of health education, physical education, health and fitness instructors, physical therapy, rehabilitation and generally for exercise management covering chronic disease and disabilities.
